Yup. It's official. I'm a Walkie Talkie now! I'm going to be reading aloud from the written public domain material available for a free download at Project Gutenberg in e-text format; from The Marble Faun, by Nathaniel Hawthorne. I am to read Chapters 22-25 thus far. I will be posting links to the uploads I make (though this is not technically allowed) or will work-around and post a sound-file. I am going to keep track of how my venture into the wonderful world of AV for "books on tape" basically.
For those with an Ipod or Iphone there's an app. from Librivox with which to obtain most of their catalogue of public domain books. It is a very extensive catalogue already. I am also applying to read from James Joyce's Ullysses and might, if time permits, apply myself towards finding out if the books by Virginia Woolf can be REDONE (they are, frankly, awful, right now, and I love her work, and at times they'll make a second recording, in fact). They are also recording from Les Miserables, at this time.
Well, it's extremely early and I want to take a short nap as we are taking the dogs to get their nails clipped! Sadly though, Sage has been getting shaky spells and vomitted last night twice for the second time in several days. He seems to be feeling icky and needs to be watched. Poor baby. His life is always eventful, and Mia just gets in the way when he is not feeling good, because she never has a sick day in her life (some dogs have all the luck).
Peaceout! From yer favourite Madame Pseudonymous...
PS Like I said I will post a link when this has all gelled. I mean, they found the reading acceptable, but I want it to sing like a bird!
